The title itself suggests its mess time. But trust me, your kid will love it. All you need is newspaper or Disney's Floor Mat, some corn flour and a flour sifter like the one to the right. That's it. And also it's a good time for some portraits!Thursday, April 16, 2009

My son's skin is very sensitive and dry. These washcloth works great, they are the softest washclothes than the regular ones. The best part is that it has body wash in it and I don't have to worry about carrying a seperate body wash when I travel and oh! love the smell.
His first steps with support
I'm thinking for that perfect word that says it all and end this post. Perhaps, I should post a picture as a picture speaks thousand words. One thing I can say though.. its the best treat for us as parents. Oh and one more feather to add to my worry cap.. secure all the cupboards with locks or fill them with his toys! and keep two more eyes behind my head.

Me Time
Having a baby changes everything. It's fun to be around them and you never know how time passes by so fast! and of course who keeps you on your toes all the time. Its like a mini workout. I'm no different. Oh well not really. Luckily, my kid hasn't started crawling and for me it was a big relief until he started walking around the house in that walker of his. Another addition to me now is my back hurts. He wants me to hold his hands and make him walk. I enjoy it, but grr.. my back!! Earlier I used to have some time to do the chores, get a massage etc., but now? despite my husband doing the dishes, laundry and cooking, the 'me time' is totally gone! The last week was so damn hectic, just be behind him and keep aside all my work. I even lost interest in photography. just can't believe. There's so much to worry about.. me not doing that n this and cribbing about it and blogging about it..
but when I see that big smile on his face when he sees me... its priceless! especially when he tilts his head and looks at me and oh that smile.. its infectious! He definitely knows how to put that smile back on my face. He reminds me that smiling/laughing is the best medicine and I forget everything..all the cribbing and nagging.. its all gone! and I don't worry about the "me time" anymore.. at least for that few minutes, that hour or that day!

Why can't they invent...
• Disposable car seat covers
• Children's music that's not about sandwiches, the alphabet, or sharing
• A self-cleaning house
• Pacifiers that sterilize themselves when they fall on the ground

His first sign
Yay! After so many months of teaching him sign language, he finally, at the age of 9 months, gave his first sign ' Milk'. I was so excited and asked him to sign again, but boy he wouldn't. So I gave him his sippy cup and again for his next meal, I was waiting eagerly to see if he really knew how to sign and this time he did. Oh! It was such a delight to see him sign his first sign.
The baby sign language has been so helpful. Its a rescue for parents to understand what the baby wants before they start to speak, especially when their only medium of communication is through crying. Once they start to master those signs, there is less frustration and also it improves language development. So for all those new parents out there, invest some time in teaching your baby sign language. Trust me, its fun for both the parents and the baby.
