Back to blogging
I guess my last post was over a year ago. There's lot to update here.
So, I thought I would have more time after my son's first birthday. Guess I am wrong. I got busier now. I thought once he is big I didn't have to watch his every move. How in the world I thought something like that? I mean, how?? I must be either stupid or my thinking cap was forcefully shutdown. When my son was months old, feeding him and waking up every 2 hours day and night, changing diapers... I thought that was the toughest part.
Now, my O my! He doesn't sit in one place for more than a minute. He runs from one room to another at such great speed that my heart skips a beat every time and I end up hurting myself either by hitting my head or foot to the edge of the wall.
And now that he is 30 months, I have more troubles going ahead and this time I think I am ready to face it. I think!
He is now more verbal, repeats whatever we say and is a keen observer. He knows when I'm sad, angry or happy. When I'm sad or upset, I fold my hands and sit in one corner. He sees me and the first thing he does is, unfold my hands, gives a big hug, holds my face in his cute little hands and kisses right on my forehead.
Poof! I burst out smiling and hug him back. All the anger is gone.
How does he know that? He's just 30 months old. No one taught him and he never saw anyone do that to me or to anyone on TV either.. not even my husband does that.
I think kids know how to cheer you up.
Since then, he makes sure I get my daily dose of hugs and kisses whether I'm happy, sad or angry . How cute is that!

Flour time
The title itself suggests its mess time. But trust me, your kid will love it. All you need is newspaper or Disney's Floor Mat, some corn flour and a flour sifter like the one to the right. That's it. And also it's a good time for some portraits!Finger, Toes, Hair & Nose
Its very simple singing game. I'm sure it will keep your baby on his toes, while he tries to find his nose! Thanks to fisher price for emailing me this game!
What to do:
Make your baby seat on the floor or in his infant seat, and sit in front of him.
Sing the song, and move your baby's finger to the appropriate body parts.

Put Your Finger in the Air
Put your finger in the air, in the air,
Put your finger in the air, in the air,
Put your finger in the air, then put it in your hair,
Put your finger in your hair, in your hair.
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose,
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose,
Put your finger on your nose, then put it on your toes,Put your finger on your toes, on your toes.
(Repeat with arm/leg, cheeks/chin, lip/hips, neck/back, then)
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger,
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger,
Put your finger on your finger, and then in your lap,
At the end of the song, give a clap!

My son's skin is very sensitive and dry. These washcloth works great, they are the softest washclothes than the regular ones. The best part is that it has body wash in it and I don't have to worry about carrying a seperate body wash when I travel and oh! love the smell.
His first steps with support
I'm thinking for that perfect word that says it all and end this post. Perhaps, I should post a picture as a picture speaks thousand words. One thing I can say though.. its the best treat for us as parents. Oh and one more feather to add to my worry cap.. secure all the cupboards with locks or fill them with his toys! and keep two more eyes behind my head.
